Proper staging can help a home sell fast. It helps a prospective buyer to imagine the space as they might use it. The best staging is fairly neutral and balanced. It helps paint a picture of the possibilities, without being to overbearing. 

Maybe the best way to describe good staging is to give examples of terrible staging and just say, "don't do that." Check out this article over on Trulia - she really makes some great points about how to avoid terrible staging. What to you think?
